The Intercultural Institute is continuing it’s collaboration with the Education Department of the Council of Europe to promote the Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture (RFCDC) and to develop practical tools for its implementation.
The Intercultural Institute played a highly active role in the development of the RFCDC, particularly in coordinating the European-level testing and validation process of the competence descriptors included in Volume 2 of the framework. Additionally, IIT translated all three volumes of the RFCDC into Romanian, available here.
- The RFCDC Self-Reflection Tool for Teachers is hosted by the Intercultural Institute Timisoara and can be accessed here
- It is also available via the Council of Europe’s official RFCDC page
- To explore the full framework, you can download all three volumes in English from the Council of Europe’s website
