Digital Education among Roma Minorities in Schools (Dreams)

September 2019 was the starting date of the project Digital Education among Roma Minorities in Schools (Dreams), financed through the Erasmus + Program – KA204 – Strategic Partnerships for Adult Education. The project partnership is made up of four organizations from 3 different countries: Media Actie Kuregem Stad (Belgium, coordinator), the Intercultural Institute of Timisoara (Romania), Health and Social Development Foundation (Bulgaria) and All Digital AISBL (Belgium).

UCYVROK – Uniting for Citizenship and Participation: Youth promoting Vulnerable Groups’ Rights, Opportunities and Knowledge

The theme of this project was the empowerment of young people from less privileged groups and the promotion of their increased participation in the Youth in Action programme. The general aim of the project was to promote and foster the empowerment and participation in the Youth in Action programme of young people from less privileged groups, e.g. ethnic or religious minorities, youth from rural areas, socially disadvantaged families or other groups confronted with prejudices, discrimination or social exclusion such as disabled or LGBT youth.

Be the Voice of Your Generation

This project was initiated by the Intercultural Institute together with the City Hall Timisoara, the Timis County Department for Sports and Youth, the Timis County Foundation for Youth and the ALTFEL Initiative Group. The activities of the project were designed by the project partners to respond to the needs of the young people whom the project partners represented or worked with.

The project started from the need for a coherent youth policy in Timisoara, that would respond to the needs of the young people in the community. The project produced a policy document offering a strategic direction based on structured dialogue between youth and decision makers.

The aim of the project was to organise a tour in 10 Timisoara high schools with the forum theatre performance “Do Not Touch Me!”, created in the framework of Isolat project, implemented in partnership with Théâtre de l’Opprimé of Paris,  opening a debate on violence and discrimination in school.

KEYROMA – Develop key competences in social skills for Roma women to increase their participation in the service sector

The main aim of the KEYROMA project was to address a very common problem among Roma women, namely their lack of integration in the labour market as a consequence of poor education. Partners found ways to tackle this widespread problem by motivating, encouraging and enabling them to participate in learning.
