Digital Storytelling – Training of Trainers

News

Between the 3rd and 7th of February 2020, the Intercultural Institute Timisoara hosted a training of trainers on the topic of digital storytelling. We all have a personal story to tell and, sometimes, a picture is worth a thousand words. That’s what the participants in the training learnt – how to transmit a message using photos, drawings, collages, with or without a voice. The participants were members of the project partner organizations.

The training was part of the project Dreams, financed through the Erasmus+ Programme – Strategic Partnerships for adult education, implemented by Media Actie Kuregem Stad Organization (Belgium), in partnership with the Intercultural Institute Timisoara (Romania), Health and Social Development Foundation (Bulgaria) and All Digital Association (Belgium). The aim of the project is to empower Roma parents to speak about their struggles and problems regarding the education of their children. By using the digital storytelling technique, they can reveal issues about Roma exclusion from schooling, segregation, humiliating treatments of Roma children and thus build bridges between the community and the educational system.
