The Intercultural Institute of Timișoara is pleased to support the promotion of the Human Rights Education for Youth (HEY) Cascade Course on Media and Information Literacy, organised within the framework of the iLEGEND III programme of the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe.
This online course offers young people, educators, youth workers, media practitioners, and civil society members the opportunity to strengthen their competences in media and information literacy through a human rights education perspective. At a time when digital technologies, social media, and artificial intelligence increasingly shape the way information is produced, shared, and understood, such learning opportunities are essential for building critical thinking, democratic participation, and responsible engagement in society.
The cascade edition, delivered by certified HEY junior tutors, builds on the original course developed by the North-South Centre and its partners, while adapting the learning experience to local, national, and regional realities. We are glad to contribute to making this valuable Council of Europe educational opportunity more visible and accessible to young people and professionals in Romania and beyond.
Applications are open until 12 April 2026, and the course will take place online between 20 April and 17 May 2026.
Update: applications are extended until the 15 April 2026, 10:00 CET
