„BLOOMING: Inclusion and Diversity in STEAM” is a collaborative project funded by Erasmus+. The project is being implemented between 2023 and 2025 and involves partners from Greece, Italy, Ireland and Romania. Through its various initiatives, the “Blooming the Future of STEAM” project aims to raise awareness about the gender gap in STEAM, inspire young learners to pursue STEAM careers, and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable future.
The project aims to promote inclusion and diversity in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) for a sustainable future. The main goal of the project is to develop educational resources and teacher training programs to support the implementation of inclusive teaching practices in STEAM classrooms and to encourage young women to pursue careers in STEAM fields.
By addressing the gender gap in STEM education, the project aims to improve employment opportunities, reduce occupational segregation, and increase productivity. Key priorities and topics include promoting inclusion and diversity in all aspects of education, particularly in higher education, and encouraging women’s participation in STEM fields. The project also emphasizes creating and promoting learning opportunities for all citizens and all generations.
The target groups of the project are teachers, pupils/students aged 14 years and over, as well as key education stakeholders such as education authorities and organizations promoting gender equality and STEM education. Particular attention is given to encouraging young Roma women to consider careers in STEAM.
