This message, delivered on behalf of the Council of Europe’s Education Department, set the tone for a conference dedicated to strengthening civic education and democratic values in schools across Romania.
More than 70 participants joined online for the opening session, while over 30 social education teachers from across the country gathered in person — united by their dedication to building a democratic culture in Romanian schools.
The 2025 edition of CNES is part of the Digital Civic Incubator Programme, coordinated by the Intercultural Institute of Timișoara in partnership with Asociația Techsoup România and Școala de Valori.
